Keeping children safe

At Holy Trinity, the safety of your child is very important to us. All staff are trained in safeguarding procedures and there are two designated Safeguarding Leads, Mr Brereton and Mrs Ainsworth.

A detailed description of our procedures can be found by reading our Safeguarding Policy in the Policies section. You can also see a copy of the 2022 Safeguarding Audit by clicking here.

If you have any concerns about a child's safety, please contact one of the Designated Leads or ring the Tameside Public Service Hub on 0161 342 4101 (0161 342 2222 out of hours). If you believe a child is at an immediate risk of harm dial 999.

Many families go through difficult times. If you or another member of your family is struggling, please come to see us as soon as possible. We are here to help and support you and your child. You can find more support for families on the local TSCB website http://www.tamesidesafeguardingchildren.org.uk/parentsandcarers.aspx

The Early Help team at Tameside is an excellent was of providing multi agency support for families. You can see a video of how the team works by following this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnu7-iDC6O8

The NSPCC has a range of information for parents on issues such as sexting, self harm and types of abuse. You can access this information at https://www.nspcc.org.uk/

The Governments PREVENT Strategy is designed to stop children being radicalised and getting involved in extremist activities. If you have a concern about your child or someone else in your family, please talk to one of the safeguarding leads. You may also find this leaflet for parents useful.

Holy Trinity is part of Operation Encompass, a project run jointly between schools and Greater Manchester Police.  It aims to support children who are affected by domestic abuse by ensuring that their school is informed at the earliest opportunity. This allows the school to support the children. If you have any questions about this project, please do not hesitate to contact the school or follow this link http://www.operationencompass.org/
